Testimonials

“I found Sophie at a time in my life when I was stuck; my marriage was failing, my interactions with people were angry and my relationships were suffering. I had changed into a person I didn’t recognise or like very much, and I had no idea how to get back.

In Sophie I found a place of rest and support. She has this wonderful of way providing a calming and nourishing environment – even more remarkable given that all of our interactions were held virtually. A place to just be and accept, to honour and value my emotions. Sophie was never overpowering, never critical or judgemental. More of a steady guide and a soothing presence that would offer support and enlightenment in a place that felt safe and comfortable.” V.

Sophie listens and holds space and connection with mind, body, soul and earth. Which enables me to be vulnerable and explore possibilities, perspectives and experiences.

Sophie has the ability to translate psychoanalytical theories into relatable and relevant personal experiences.

I feel safe to open up and discover who, where, why, what it all means – explore layers of an onion or a flower together.

Understanding of the mind, emotions, responses, behaviours and their unconscious and conscious (but often hard to see) expressions. Support, love and laughter. M.

“For me, I found that each session I would learn or recognise one key thing about myself and my journey (where I had been and where I wanted to go) that I could go away and understand and process in the week ahead meaning I was able to come back to the next session with a new perspective and a deeper appreciation of myself.

With Sophie, nothing feels forced, you don’t have to provide the answers – I always found I could speak in a way that meant my thoughts and feelings just evolved and flowed rather than feeling any pressure to deliver. A testimony to Sophies natural and engaging style.

Sophie is giving me the tools I need so that now feel I can turn to myself for support. I can look inward for validation rather than to those around me and I trust myself and my decisions as I come to know myself more deeply and recognise my truth. I hope that I can always reach out to Sophie for support and guidance throughout key moments in my life as thanks to her I find myself on the path to living authentically.” V.

“Sophie has empowering awareness and presence such that I feel comfortable being vulnerable. She is supportive constructively and yet not overwhelmingly and has a humble quality that encourages real stillness and curiosity to emerge. A gentleness that has strength behind it – boundaried gentleness I suppose! Always encouraging and opening out discussion where feelings towards time, dimensions, responses and levels of awareness can cause me stickiness.”

After going through a divorce, I felt I had a blockage in my life that I needed to get past, and a friend advised I should maybe look into some counselling to help me with it. I found Sophie’s profile, although her profile reassured me I was still anxious about attending my first session and how it would all work… Sophie explained everything to me about the sessions in an email beforehand, and also face to face at our first session, and with her calming presence, I relaxed very quickly and felt an instant trust. For me it felt like I had someone supporting me through getting over this blockage I had and as we unravelled parts of my past which have perhaps led me to this point and why I feel the way I feel, I quite quickly became more aware of my feelings and behaviour in everyday life which was just what I needed. She really helped me feel stronger to deal with everything that I was going through and helped me to get some much needed empowerment and freedom back into my life. (K)
